Now Offering COVID-19 Antibody Testing
Here at huemn Optimization + Cryo Recovery, we pride ourselves on being ahead of the curve. As an essential business that offers ancillary health services to our customers, it is imperative that we be able to provide our members with the pain and inflammation relief that they need, while also prioritizing the safety of our community.
As you may have seen on social media, this week, we have started administering COVID-19 Antibody Testing to our team members.
Antibody testing gives us valuable insights, including:
If any of us were exposed to/infected with COVID-19.
If our bodies have developed antibodies (immunity) to the virus.
Which employees (if any) may have been asymptomatic, and now have immunity.
Based on overwhelming feedback, we have worked with our Chief Medical Director, Dr. Cliff Thomas, to open up a limited number of COVID-19 Antibody Tests to our community. These tests will be by appointment only. This is the most widely used and definitive COVID-19 antibody test available. It is a blood serum fingerstick antibody test, NOT an at home rapid test. It has been used over 2,000,000 times, and comes from an FDA Registered and ISO 13485 compliant lab. Optimally, this test would be run on everyone, as it can detect whether someone ever had the virus, even if they were asymptomatic. Isolating these unknown carriers is very important to curbing the community spread of the virus.
COVID-19 Antibody Testing Information
Why Get Tested: Antibody testing will show if you were exposed to or infected with COVID-19 (even if you were symptomatic). If your results show that you have the antibodies, you would theoretically be immune to COVID-19.
Who Can Be Tested: Anyone who wants to know if they have been exposed to COVID-19.
Test Details: This is the most widely used and definitive test available. It is a blood serum antibody test, and has been used over 2,000,000 times. It has been widely used in Singapore, and has been recently rolled out in the United Kingdom.
Cost: The cost of the testing kit is $225. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the cost of antibody testing at this time. You may also use your membership credits (12 credits).
Testing Process: This is a fingerstick blood test performed at home. The kit includes all materials and instructions required for the test, along with shipping materials to mail your kit back to our lab. If you test positive you will receive a call from our physician about next steps.
Clinical Consultation: If you test positive you will receive a telemedicine call from our medical physician on the next steps forward.
Results: After your antibody test is sent off to the lab, it will take approximately 48 hours after your results have been received by the lab.
HIPAA Compliance: Your test results are confidential, and we will not have access to them at any time. We provide a safe testing location and appointment time; that's it.
Scheduling: As stated above, testing is by appointment only. To schedule your appointment, please call our store at (832) 779-1673.
