A message from OUR founder, Bill Hanks

Eight years ago, I left my career in engineering to open the doors of Cryo Recovery (now Huemn - Optimization + Longevity). My wife Anna and I started this company in order to provide our community with a drug-free, non-invasive way of recovering from inflammatory health issues.

After struggling with my own health problems that were linked to inflammation, I began researching ways of addressing these issues that did not involve adding medications to my daily routine. After extensive education by way of research studies, courses, and trial and error with my own health, I learned that inflammation is the root of nearly every disease, and in order to properly address health issues, we must tackle the root cause. Using my engineering background, I knew that there had to be a way to apply systems engineering principles to combat inflammation, all without overriding the body’s natural systems with chemicals and other toxins.

Enter: Cryotherapy. Cryotherapy works with the body’s natural systems to reduce inflammation, increase mitochondria density, and increase metabolism. No pills, shots, or adverse side effects involved. Based on my own personal experience with Cryotherapy, I was confident that it would make a positive impact on the health of those who tried it. What I didn't know; however, is how the community would respond to our business. Over the last eight years, we have been completely blown away by the countless stories of individuals who have tried everything under the sun to resolve their health issues, yet the modalities and care at Huemn are what ultimately solved their problems.

The Huemn team is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of our community because we know that we need to have good health if we are going to make positive impacts on the world. Our philosophy is to apply a complex systems approach to the recovery process, by ensuring that our modalities and therapeutic interventions work with your body’s systems, rather than against them. In doing this, we can get to the root of suboptimal health, and treat the source of your ailments, all while preserving the integrity of the rest of your body. After all, better humanity begins with better health.

If you have been along for the ride these last eight years, you have seen the drastic changes that Huemn has undergone as we continue to push the envelope on what is possible for human health. We have a long way to go, but we deeply believe that we are making significant progress in supporting health from a more holistic perspective.
